Charity walk wearing Christmas jumpers

Thank you for your kind and generous donations to GOAL and Crumlin Children’s Hospital. The children and staff enjoyed their Christmas walk wearing their festive jumpers..we had all sorts, some that jingled, some that lit up and some very sparkly, colorful ones! We walked one mile this morning! The total raised was €282 which will be shared equally between the two charities.

The staff would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy, safe and healthy New Year.

Parents’ Association committee

Members of the Parents’ association committee came to assembly today to present a cheque for €3,425 to the Board of Management in full payment for the outdoor classroom! This money was raised throughout the 2016-17 school year through a variety of ventures such as the recent Fun Run, Film Club, Raffle etc.

A huge thank you and well done to them for all their hard work and to you the parents/pupils for supporting their fund raising events. The pupils are enjoying the fruits of your labour in the outdoor classroom on a regular basis!

We finished off the week on Friday with a swimming fun day to Kells for 1st-6th class and parachute games and a teddy bears’ picnic for the Infants.

The pupils were presented with certificates on Friday for their efforts during the week.

A big thank you to Brian O’Reilly (basketball instructor) and Tracey Taffe from Taffe Academy of Irish Dance for volunteering to help out during the week!

Parents’ Association Fun Run

Thank you to everyone who came out to Deerpark Forest to support the Parent’s Association 5k fun run and to all those who donated and helped raise a great €267!

We had a turnout of 69 walkers with loads of kids, buggies and grannies taking part! The rain didn’t dampen the spirits at all and it was great to have a cuppa with everyone in the clubhouse afterwards.
